Or at least the ones that had Trumps and/or descriptions left for...
Bianca is a recent addition to the halls of Amber, arriving with her father Benedict. While more talkative then her father, she is politely quiet about her past or her mother. While young-looking, she is somewhere between new kid on the block and well traveled. At times she seems at ease with her new home but at other times seems awed by her famed family members. Bianca made obviously efforts to make a friendly impression upon family, court and staff of Amber. She has not shown any aptitude for martial skills but enjoys the outdoors.
Any time spent with father and daughter show that while she is very respectful around and to her sire, when she forgets they aren't alone, she has a strange tendency…to tease him: anything from his choice of attire, hair style and somber nature, "Daddy, the scarecrow." Upon realization that it was overheard, she was apologetic and embarrassed.
Dristan was born in shadow and only came to Amber for the first time sometime before the Patternfall happenings. He is tall and athletic, his dirty blonde hair is kept neither long nor short, but a little above the collar, his eyes are a bright blue. He has spent little time in Amber itself, having visited the city on occasion, but rarely going up to the castle itself. He is known to be something of a swordsman and when in the city itself visits the taverns and inns, seeming to enjoy in the revelling.
Those listening to rumor will have heard the he is supposedly Julian's child, having been born somewhere far off. It is also said that his mother is dead and he holds Julian responsible in part. The one time that Dristan showed up out of the blue and not aboard a ship or caravan coming into Amber he was disheveled, tired and weak. Some say that he had performed some great feat of will and nearly died in the process; others say that he was merely mugged when he was not careful enough in the night.
Definitely a stranger in a strange land, Rebecca was brought into Amber by Corwin of all people, demanding answers and proudly wearing Eric's signet ring on her finger. Amber wasn't a surprise by all accounts, nor were any of the castle's residents. She didn't even bat an eye at Gerard and greeted him warmly at first meeting. But she made it very clear she was expected answers and if she didn't like Random's, she would get them somewhere else. Which she did, leaving the castle and riding hell bent for leather out to Arden to get them and she didn't much care who knew she was going.
She's not big on secrets and even less so on lies, she finds official functions boring in the extreme, takes great delight in wearing cowboy boots to everything, prefers the company of Rangers and guards to Princes and Noblemen, and absolutely hates the castle. She has a great affinity to horses and regularly pesters Julian to let her ride Morgenstern because she doesn't believe he's actually a horse and just so she can say she did. She has no patience for the 'frilly bits' of being female in the Royal family, prefers jeans or leathers and any shopping that needs doing will be swiftly regulated to her maid, a woman hired personally by Rebecca from outside of the regular castle staff.
She is often in Arden and seems to be welcomed there. She has ridden from one end of Amber to the other in the relatively short time she has been there, often seen riding fence lines and borders, a habit of her ranch life that has been difficult to break.
By all accounts she adored her late father and it has taken time for all the opinions of his siblings he passed on to her to become moderated by the new maturity she has observed that that the war forced on them. Rumor has it that she shot Corwin on sight, though by the time they arrived he looked more aggrieved than wounded. She seems to get along well enough with everyone when she's around and has refrained from causing any further bodily harm to a relative.
Her near constant companion is her horse, Demon. An ebony stallion with blonde mane and tail who is fiercely loyal and protective. The pistols that once rode on her hips have been regulated to a bed post but she never goes anywhere without a wicked long gold hilted and ruby pommeled dagger strapped to her thigh.
Rebecca is 5'10" with an athletic build. She has dark brown hair and golden brown eyes.
Rebecca's not much for long walks along moonlit beaches but she can be talked into late night rides under the stars, tavern hopping or to cheerfully lose at cards.
Lady Silene Balentine arrived in Amber just prior to the Patternfall Wars. She, along with her envoy, met with the governing powers to negotiate a treaty with the kingdom. Carezda would export spices, textiles, precious metals and provide military support to Amber in exchange for military training and border protection.
Once the Wars began, Carezda quickly responded to Amber's Call to Arms, offering men as well as food, medical supplies, and those skilled in paramedics to assist on the front lines.
Lady Balentine has since taken up residence within the kingdom. A fresh face and a pleasant smile, she is quick to discuss the matters of import to Carezda, but will gladly visit on matters less arduous.
When she's not advocating for Carezda, or studying up on the laws of the realm, Lady Balentine will likely be walking the streets and open markets of the kingdom. She has a soft spot for children, and has been caught on more than one occasion dancing a Maypole or kneeling in the ground playing jacks or marbles with the children dressed in her finery.
Her one true weakness is her love for tournament and sporting events. Much to the chagrin of the elder statesmen she typically associates with, if there is an event to be had within the “walls of Amber”, Lady Balentine will be found there, very much the active spectator. She has, on a couple of occasions, participated in Archery Contests, ranking in the top five of those participating.
A charming companion with a disarming personality, it is rumored that Lady Balentine, for all her apparent youth and inexperience, is a more than formidable negotiator. She has a record of swaying the outcome of heated discussions toward a relative “win-win” situation for those involved, with a little extra always figured in for Carezda.
Little is known about the man whispered to be named Trencher. Few even doubt that is his real name. What is known is that destruction seems to follow in his wake. It is rumored, even, that he was present in Amber just prior to the events surrounding the Patternfall War.
Trencher first appeared in the Courts of Chaos, as near as records can tell, and was proclaimed a lost-son of Brand, Prince of Amber. It’s known that he walked the Logrus (manifesting his Shape Shifting ability in the process) and then disappeared back into Shadow shortly after that. He appears to have accepted something of a “troubleshooter” position within the Courts, acting as an on-call demon hunter.
Trencher was brought to Amber shortly after that, and his lineage to Brand was proven true. Though he didn’t get the same reception his brother, Lance, would later receive, he quickly left and hasn’t been “officially” seen in Amber since (popular rumors aside).
Trencher is slight of stature and build, almost rodent-like in appearance, with wide, bulging eyes and generally unkempt features. He is a product of the very worst Shadow Earth has to offer.
What, after all, can be expected from a man raised in Hoboken?
Born about 30 years prior to the Patternfall War, Warren was raised in relative anonymity in the Courts of Rebma with the sons and daughters of other nobles and aristocrats. His exact lineage is somewhat of a mystery, although he was technically a ward of Queen Moire and officially the responsibility of Princess Llewella. Not that it mattered. He was raised as all children are of his class… by nannies and servants. Overall he had a happy childhood and learned the things that nobles need to know.
When he was not yet an adolescent it was discovered that Warren had a flair for the arts. There was not a medium that he could not beautify or express himself in. He was not an excellent artist; he was (and still is) brilliant. Although not a ‘doodler’ he does keep his equipment close at hand and has been known to start working on something when inspiration strikes. No matter what he was doing before. He was made Court Artist in his early 20s.
By the time he was 30 the ramification of his lineage clarified a little more and he was “requested” to walk the Pattern in Rebma. Soon after he was granted the title of Duke and his life became a whirlwind of politics, war, governing, politics, diplomacy, trade, politics, law, and, of course, politics. Soon after the end of the Patternfall War, Warren was presented at the Court of Amber as a diplomat and Chief of the Rebman trade delegation. He was also presented as a ‘Son of Amber,’ which caused more than a little stir.
He currently resides at Castle Amber but can often be found painting or sketching at one of the many picturesque locations around the city. As well as at the beach and occasionally in Arden.
Physically, Warren is thin but well built man with raven black hair and bright green eyes. He tends to wear variations of the color blue. While apparently somber in appearance he frequently (and easily) smiles.
Attitude: Warren is friendly and easily approachable. He is VERY passionate about art but realizes that not everyone feels the same way and is knowledgeable about many other topics. He is an excellent conversationalist and listens well. He is competent at his duties, whether assigned by Amber or Rebma, but it is clear that he’d rather be doing other things like painting or sculpture or drawing or carving or… He seems reluctant to take up the mantel and power that his heritage has granted him.
