Daughter of Bleys

Cordelia is a firebrand, a dilettante, a wastrel, a wild thing - a whole bundle of contradictions and complements.

She's as mercurial as the sea and as apt to change faces at any moment. She's temperamental and passionate and an incorrigible flirt, with standards for men that are obvious only to her. She likes to live fast, running horses into the ground and sending cars to the junkyard years before their time. She's a bit on the selfish side, but among her friends and servants she can be generous when the mood strikes her. She has a fondness for scandalizing old biddies with what she wears, and she'll drink with thieves and pirates as soon as lords and ladies. She's distinctly not a blind follower; given orders and advice she disagrees with, she'll fight tooth and nail to get her way.

She's also a captain, of a ship called the Maiden Fair. She's not interested in the navy, or in the new generation of ships; the Maiden is a light, swift sailing ship with a full complement of cannons. Her crew is a motley lot from more than a dozen different Shadows and nations, all fiercely loyal to captain and ship. Those that have seen the Maiden's crew when she's underway report that they don't function like a military crew - they seem to have a discipline all their own.

Cordelia has dark brown hair and bright green eyes, and her fashion sense tends towards the revealing. Anyone looking for her would do best - should they find her not at home or on the Maiden - to check either the docks or any parties going on in Amber at the time.
